  • What kind of life survives in an environment depends on its factors
  • Factors can be divided into two categories: biotic and abiotic
  • Abiotic means non-living. Abiotic factors include water, temperature and sunlight
  • Biotic means living. Biotic factors include plants and animals.
  • A biome is a geographic area that is similar. Biomes are larger than ecosystems.
  • Ecosystems are parts of biomes. A single lake might be an ecosystem that is part of a forest biome.
  • Plants, animals and organic matter all affect life with ecosystems.
