Blueshift

Blueshift
is the opposite of redshift. If an object, such as a star, is blueshifted, then it's moving closer to whoever is observing it. On the next page there will be an interactive lesson. This lesson will explain the Doppler Effect, Redshift, and Blueshift.

The following video describes redshift and blueshift, and what it tells scientists about the movement of stars and the size of our universe.
