Last week you learned about origins of the universe. You learned about some of the big names in astronomy such as Galileo, Ptolemy, Kepler and Hubble. You also learned about the Big Bang theory and how redshift in galaxies is one piece of evidence that the Big Bang occurred.

In this week you will actually calculate redshift in different wavelengths of light. In order to do that, you will also learn about scientific notation, which is one way to write large numbers.
