Interview Protocol, Part 2: Creating Questions

creating questions

Creating Questions

Creating questions from these points will be easy once we go over the process of changing from a statement to a question.

Here is an example.

From the first point (What Dakota culture means to the interviewee),

you could generation this question: What does Dakota culture mean to you ?

You can see that the word “does” is inserted after the question word “what”. Then the verb “means” changes to “mean” because the question is in second person (you) instead of third person (the interviewee). For other questions, the word “is,” it changes to “are” in second person.

Go back to the first page of this protocol. Create a question for the other points and send it to me in Edmodo. The Edmodo code for our class is 0gskj1. Our group is called the ELL Superstars. Click on “I am a Student” and follow the directions.
