Chemistry: Past, Present and Future!

For this assignment, you will need to make a simple presentation (3-6) slides. In your presentation you will need to include three discoveries.
  • One from the distant past
  • One from the "present" (within the last 30 years)
  • One from the "future" (cutting edge research
In order to complete this assignment you will find the ACS time-line helpful. For the more cutting edge research, an scientific magazine such as Science News or Scientific American would probably be more fitting.

For each of your discoveries you should include:
  • What is the discovery, why is it important?
  • Who made the discovery?
  • When was the discovery made?
  • What are the possible impacts on society?
  • Image - presentations should be interesting after all.
