Content

A range of course content is provided, to first engage and connect learners. Completion of this task unlocks the course.

Reinforced by the audio instructions, (used to save space with written content to support is this instance) forums are used to facilitate and continue interactions on the simulation. The first forum within the activate area is used to evidence their game play and roadmap their progress. The second forum to accelerate their performance and allow 'experts' to support the learning of novices and raise overall group performance. A final tool for activation is the use of dynamic content such as RSS feeds and quiz leaderboards.

The demonstration phases uses the knowledge from the simulation and extends to a raise of learning resources, the Montage providing dynamic mashable content and therefore unique views to each learner. Reflections are encouraged through the motivational quotes and image glossary. In turn these resources provide the content for the assignment, not unlocked unless evidence is uploaded to the Fate of the World forum. I have tried to provide a strong sense of collaboration, releasing the shared content once collaborators have contributed. Forums used for gathering evidence have limted posting to encourage learners to be more selective in their postings.

Learning is consolidated through a quiz (not yet written) which would draw from the learning resources and a Youtube playlist. I could not get a playlist to easily embed (help anyone). The playlist allows encourages contributions and therefore extended shared learning.

The broadcast brings all the elements and calls for learners to engage a wider, global audience. It also calls for learners to feedback to one another.

The badge is used to recognise a range of outstanding, longstanding contributions. It also calls for students to recognise within group support as well as excellence. I would perhaps use a stamp block.
