    The American Revolutionary War:

    1775-1776

1775 to 1776 were pivotal years in the history of North America. At the beginning of this time, the British and the Colonists knew they had large disagreements. By the end of 1776, there was a Revolutionary War being fought. This unit tells part of the story of how this happened.

"Everything that is right or reasonable pleads for separation. The blood of the slain, the weeping voice of nature cries, 'tis time to part.'"

    Thomas Paine, Common Sense, 1776
