In this Grocery Store Spreadsheet lesson plan, students will have a budget of $50 to spend on any 6 items they find in a grocery store ad. Students will use a spreadsheet to calculate how much of each item they can purchase without exceeding $50.

In this unit students will explore many activities to help them better understand themselves so they can develop their personal goals and possible future career goals. We explore vocabulary, slef-concept, self-esteem, values, character traits, personality traits, Multiple Intelligences, a Personality Test and SMART goal setting. All these help to clarify who they are and where they are going. Their final project will be a Vision Map.

Creating Student e-Portfolios with Google Sites

In this course teachers will learn how to utilize Google Sites to develop student-based or classroom-based ePortfolio’s as a an alternate form of assessment as well as to showcase student work. Learn what ePorfolio’s are and discuss the benefits and uses of them as a teaching and learning tool. Participants will have hands-on practice using Google Sites to create an ePortfolio with best practice elements. Finally, teachers will evaluate their own courses to ensure that their students will have artifacts aligned to course objectives/standards that are ePortfolio-ready! This course is geared towards teachers who have students in grades 7-12.
